I’ve been meaning to write something about Jay Electronica for some time. I’ve tried, actually, but I end up falling all over myself with how unbelievably dope he is. I start thinking about when Jon Landau saw a young bar band-era Bruce Springsteen and heralding “rock and roll’s future.” Pretty soon in it starts to read like a 14 year old’s fan page for the dude. Which is a bad look for me—I’m a grown man. So in the interest of maintaining my self respect, I’ll just let the music speak for itself. And this is just the tip of the berg—go cop his mixtapes.
